Funding for the Audio-Visual Sector


The European Commission has issued three new calls for proposals under MEDIA’s development funding schemes. Media is the European Commission programme for supporting the European audio-visual sector.  Grants totaling €18 million are available to experienced independent producers of fiction, animation, documentary and interactive projects.  The Calls for Proposals cover three types of funding: Development – Single Project, Development – Slate and Development – Interactive, each of which have slightly different eligibility criteria and potential grant amounts.

Another Film Grant


Nominet Trust Digital Edge Programme



Through the programme organisation can apply for grants to fund projects that address key challenges faced by young people through the innovative uses of digital technologies. Challenges such as high unemployment, social exclusion and low political engagement; etc. There is no upper or lower funding limit as the Trust like to encourage applicants to be realistic about what they need to achieve their project objectives. The Sound Edit: Wildlife


Calling all filmmakers,photographers and animators!





We are offering you the exclusive opportunity to write a treatment for a film or multimedia photostory, working with a selection of rare wildlife sounds from the British Library Sound Collection – with cash prizes for the best project ideas. A shortlist of 10 IdeasTap members will be awarded £500 each to create their film. The final 10 films or multimedia photostories will go before a panel of industry experts, who will select one overall winner to receive £1,000 and a screening at the British Library Spring Festival.
